Le plaisir du désordre
Eve Bonfanti and Yves Hunstad are Belgian actors and authors. They write fascinating theater pieces full of intelligence, poetry and humour. The film’s aim is to decode the mystery of their writing by following the dialogue that grows between them as they develop their new show, a variation on happiness, or how to live together in a world that is tearing itself apart.

“With La Fabrique Imaginaire, Yves Hunstad and Eve Bonfanti offer outlandish and grandiose stories while questioning the role of the audience, its relationship to the imagination, and the subversive function of theater. Their burlesque spirit constantly unsettles the spectator and takes them, to their great surprise, to places they never imagined going. After each performance, I wondered how they could write, as a duo, texts so meticulously crafted yet so seemingly fragile, as if suspended by a thread.
How is a show written?
The film sets out to follow, step by step, over two years, the writing of their next show, about which, for the moment, they know little or nothing. In other words, it attempts to explore the mystery of this slow development of a play yet to come. How does one move from the disorder of thought and senses to the dazzling power of theater…?”
